It’s that time of year again, when the leaves are changing, the days grow colder and shorter, and we all prepare for Thanksgiving. God has truly blessed me this year and I’ve been thinking about everything He’s done! I have so many things to be thankful, even the things I tend to take for granted.
Apparently, there’s a “war on Christmas” happening.
Some companies have decided not to use the phrase “Merry Christmas” anymore, opting instead for “Happy Holidays”. Why? Because it seems that making any reference to Christmas is now “offensive” and “shoving religion down people’s throats”.
I’ve heard different opinions on this. Some say Christians should boycott these companies, others say it’s silly to make such a fuss. Is this “war” really worth getting hyped up over? Should we, Christians, really see anything wrong with corporations not drawing attention to Christmas?
Author: Rachel Coker
I have one word to describe this book.
The poetic writing, the powerful redemptive story, the sweet romance….I think Rachel Coker’s Interrupted is one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever read. I found Interrupted on sale at the Christian bookstore, and I’m glad I bought it!
